Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 July 2026

This privacy policy explains how Timbo ("Timbo", "we", "us") processes personal data when you visit timbo.be, request a quote, contact us or use links to third-party services.

1. Who is responsible?

Timbo is the controller for the processing described in this policy. Contact: privacy@timbo.be. Location: Brussels, Belgium.

2. Personal data we collect

When you request a quote, we collect your name, email address, selected package, message, submission time and any information you include in your message. Our hosting and security providers may also process technical information such as IP address, browser, device, requested pages, timestamps and security logs. We store your preferred language locally in your browser.

3. Why we use your data

We use personal data to answer enquiries, prepare and follow up quotes, provide requested services, secure and operate the website, prevent spam and abuse, measure aggregated website usage, comply with legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims.

4. Legal bases

We rely on steps taken at your request before entering a contract and performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and operating a secure and effective website, and legal obligations where applicable. Where consent is legally required, we ask for it.

5. Service providers and recipients

Quote requests are processed through Cloudflare Pages and sent using Resend to Timbo’s email account, which is hosted by Google. We use Umami Cloud for privacy-focused website analytics, Google Fonts to display typography, and WhatsApp only when you choose to open a WhatsApp link. These providers process data under their own terms and may act as processors or independent controllers depending on the service. We may also disclose data to advisers, authorities or other parties where required by law or necessary to protect rights.

6. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers are protected by an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful safeguard. You may contact us for more information about relevant safeguards.

7. Cookies and local storage

The website does not use advertising cookies. Umami is configured as cookie-free analytics. We use browser local storage to remember your language preference. Third-party services you choose to open, such as WhatsApp, may use their own cookies or similar technologies.

8. How long we keep data

We keep enquiry and quote information only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage the commercial relationship, meet accounting or legal duties and handle disputes. In general, unsuccessful enquiries are reviewed for deletion after 24 months; customer and transaction records may be kept longer where law requires. Security logs are retained according to the relevant provider’s operational schedule.

9. Your rights

Under applicable data-protection law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority or your local supervisory authority.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

11. Children

This website and our services are not directed to children. Please do not submit personal data if you are under the age at which you may validly provide it without parental authorisation.

12. External links

Our website may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for those practices.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.

14. Contact

Questions or requests about privacy can be sent to privacy@timbo.be. Please provide enough information for us to identify and handle your request.
